About American Wood Technology

American Wood Technology (AWT) is a Manufactures Representative type company. AWT is NOT a manufacturer of goods or services but a sales organization representing for the most part Scandinavian Equipment producers. We help make businesses that treat and work with lumber more efficient. We do so by offering complete, custom, turnkey treating plants and specialty niche processing solutions – fast and efficiently directly from our vendors.
Our customers are primary and secondary woodworking companies in North America.

How ​We Do It

We represent the best suppliers in their field! For the preservative treating business we represent IWT-Moldrup, the most innovative and longest existing producer of treating plants in the world!. Using their “Factory in a Box” approach, you cut installation time at your site from months to days – even on custom installations. We deliver all the components, even the control systems, and our vendor’s engineers assists with the entire setup and installation. While you run your business. We can also provide the ongoing service and support from our vendors when your new plant is operating. we don’t deliver nor supply is the chemicals. With our solutions, you are free to source that from anyone.

Working with Wood is all we do, and it’s all we have ever done. Our team has been in this business for over 40 years and has touched just about every aspect of our industry over these decades. We’ve worked with rough mill lines, equipment design, fabrication, layouts, lumber and defect scanning, Optimization and more. Meanwhile, most of our vendor partners in Europe have been in the wood-treating equipment business since the 1960s and over many generations.
